Add CACI Application Portal to Workstation Startup
The following are step by step instructions for including WebET as part of your workstation startup.
If you already have an entry in your workstation startup for WebET follow these instructions.
- Put your mouse over the "Start" button (normally in the
lower left hand corner of your desktop) and click the right mouse button.
This will bring up a small menu;
- Select "Explore";
- Navigate to "Start Menu" then
"Programs" and finally to "Startup". Depending on your
operating system "Startup" maybe in several locations. On Windows
NT and Windows 2000/XP workstations there may be multiple "Startup"
folders if more than one person has an account on the machine;
- In the "Startup" folder look for the "WebET"
icon;
- Right click your mouse on this icon;
- Select "Properties" and then the "Web
Document" tab;
Change the URL in the box to read http://apps.caci.com
and click on "Apply" and then "Okay".
If you are adding a entry to your workstation startup follow these instructions.
- Put your mouse over the "Start" button (normally in the
lower left hand corner of your desktop) and click the right mouse button.
This will bring up a small menu;
- Select "Explore";
- Navigate to "Start Menu" then
"Programs" and finally to "Startup". Depending on your
operating system "Startup" maybe in several locations. On Windows
NT and Windows 2000/XP workstations there may be multiple "Startup"
folders if more than one person has an account on the machine;
- Put your mouse over a blank area on the right side of the
"Explorer" window click the right mouse button. This will
bring up a context sensitive menu;
- Select "New" and then "Shortcut" from
the menu;
- In the text box type "explorer
http://apps.caci.com" and click "Next";
- (Optional) You may want to name the desktop shortcut "apps.caci.com".
