What Does the "Must disable ICS" error message mean?
You need to disable ICS if you're a Windows XP user who encounters the "must disable ICS" error message while trying to install or upgrade the VPN Client.

To disable ICS through the Control Panel, use the following steps:

1. Got to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
2. Select Services > Internet Connection Sharing located under ICS Firewall.
3. Disable Load on Startup.
4. Reboot your computer.

Contact the CACI TAC if you continue to receive the "must disable ICS" error message after disabling the service in the Control Panel.  It is possible that even though the Control Panel shows ICS as disabled, the registry value could still show it as enabled. In that case the TAC will help you disable ICS through the registry even though you already disabled it through the Control Panel.
