Can I enable VPN over my AOL connection?
AOL and the VPN client software can co-exist and run separately on the same PC without causing conflicts.  AOL claims NO support for VPN, however, the Cisco VPN client will work with AOL on some platforms in some environments.  If you want to enable VPN over your AOL connection, the following limitations apply:

AOL 5 - The VPN client supports AOL 5.

AOL 6 - The VPN client supports AOL 6, with one limitation:  when connected, browsing the Network Neighborhood is not available.

AOL 7 - The VPN client supports AOL 7.0 on the Windows XP operating system.  The VPN client does not support AOL 7 on the Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT Workstation, Windows ME, Windows 2000 Professional operating systems. 

AOL 8 - The VPN client client supports AOL 8 on the Windows ME, Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP operating systems.  The VPN client does not support AOL 8 on the Windows 98 operating system.
