Why Can't I See Anything When I Double Click the Network Neighborhood Icon?
Browsing the Network Neighborhood to find computers and resources on the CACI network while using VPN is not recommended.  If you need to access a shared folder located on a CACI computer you should access that shared folder using its UNC name.

The Universal Naming Convention (UNC) provides a common method for accessing files on a network without using a "mapped" drive or browsing to them in Network Neighborhood.  Names specified this way are called UNC names.  They typically appear as:

\\servername\shared

Where:
servername = the name of the network server where the shared folder resides
shared =  the name of the shared folder where the files reside

To access resources on the network using UNC, select Start > Run, type the UNC name in the Open field, and click the OK button.
