When Managers Are Unavailable

When no manager in an employee's chain of command is available to approve a timesheet, the "BG Approver" is responsible for approving timesheets.

The following procedure should be followed by the "BG Approver":

  1. The "BG Approver" monitors the status of timesheets on the day that timecards are to be submitted;

  2. Attempt to locate a manager in the chain of command for any employee who has a signed timesheet that has not been approved;

  3. Approve the timesheet of any employee whose timesheet is not signed by 10:00 a.m. on the last day of the pay period.

Any timesheet approved by the "BG Approver" is then considered a Temporary Timesheet because the "BG Approver" is outside the employee's chain of command.
