How can I tell if my files are encrypted?

On computers using the XP or Vista operating systems the easiest way to tell if files are encrypted is to note the color of the files in the Explorer window - green files have been encrypted. On computers using the Windows 2000 operating system you will need to right click the file or folder, select Properties and click the Advanced… button. If the Encrypt contents to secure data checkbox is selected the files are encrypted.
