How do I check if I have Open shares on your Computer?

On Windows platforms, right click on My Computer, choose Manage, click on Shared Folders and then click on Shares. You will see this window:

You may see the following open shares: ADMIN$, C$, and IPC$ These shares are default shares and should not be removed.

If other shares appear and are not intended, do the following to close these shares: Right click on the share and choose Stop Sharing.
