How do I connect my Dell laptop to a projector?

Plug in the projectors VGA cable in to the back of your laptop (blue jack)
Next hold down the fn key located on the bottom left of your keyboard while pressing f8 located on the top row of your keyboard.

This will cause 3 outputs to happen:

Press fn + F8 and the image will be displayed on the laptop and displayed thru the projector
Press fn + F8 again and the image will only be displayed thru the projector.
Press fn + F8 again and the image will only be displayed on the laptop screen

Remember with some older projectors and the high resolution of the new Laptop screens you may have to lower your resolution.
