Here are a few tips:
Do not provide any sensitive or personal information to someone you do not completely trust, and always ask the person to provide proper credentials.
Do not visit a website address that is emailed to you, or open a file emailed to you, unless you are sure of its safety.
Phishing attempts can also come in the form of instant messaging (IM) applications, so if you suspect you're being baited by an IM, delete the message immediately.
CACI's Corporate Information Systems (CIS) team actively blocks most spam and phishing-type emails, but an occasional message may get through. Please be ever vigilant to these scams and other illegal activities for the protection of our clients ... who are performing our government's important work.
